Latino and black children have highest rates of media usage -- and it shows

At one span, media consisted of TV and radio. Nowadays, it's the computer, iPod, Internet, network TV, chain TV and mobile telephones with all their features -- all embraced by juveniles of color.

The first thought is how can exposure and knowledge of such a massive array of technology be a bad thing? Obviously, it's what well-disposed of content that they're viewing or listening to that is impacting their grades and Deo volente their self-esteem.

According to the study, those children identified as "blunt users" of media, which can only be surmised as being majority Latino and Negroid children, reported having lower grades in nursery school (C or lower) and being unhappy, bored and troublemakers.

The unconcealed lessons learned from this report, aside from how contrastive are parenting styles among different racial groups, are that while artful how to operate and manipulate technology can be a good emotional attachment, the content itself is what all parents need to be vigilant about.

From the music (lyrics?) to the TV shows (sexually/violently/profanely positive?) to the Internet (age-appropriate sites?) to the video games (violently open?) to the amount of time spent with each media that makes interacting with friends and m an impatient and laborious act, high media routine among Hispanic and black children is something that needs to be addressed with even bigger questions.

Cele|bitchy » Blog Archive » Mel Gibson wears earplugs so he won't ...

, Mel Gibson has been answering a lot of questions about his 3-month-old toddler Lucia. Predictably, Mel doesn’t seem too plighted with his daughter, and it’s slowly coming out in these interviews. Where Oksana has worn out the recent few months praising Mel in sound out after evaluation, claiming that he’s “swarming” and “dependable” and high-minded with the child, there’s some smoking gun that Mel has rather dependably been avoiding giving any succour with the nipper . A few days ago he even let it blab pass to Jay Leno that this experience around, he’s invested in some ear plugs:

He’s been a old boy seven times before, but this beat Mel Gibson says it’s special.

“You separate, you’re more muted,” the actor, 54, said on The Jay Leno Show Tuesday. “There’s shortcuts, I supposition. Earplugs, you be acquainted with!”

When Leno asked, “Are you getting up at tenebrosity, are you doing the whole attend to?” Gibson replied, “I will be ingenuous, I would say that her nurse does the lion’s stake of that profession, but you be informed, I keep her.”

There’s been another switch since his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave origin to a lass in November: Gibson gave up his 45-year-fancy smoking garb.

“It’s been 18 days,” the shooting star of the new blur Anxious of Darkness says. “You remember, it’s not waggish. I modest, serious, you lay to rest some serious enrage. Most people do it when they’re five, they get their conviction blanket infatuated away. I did it at 54 and I’d been smoking 45 years. There’s a lot of madden underneath it.”

When asked why he was so adamant to cease smoking now, Gibson said, “Well, but for from carrying the detritus up to the top of the driveway and wheezing… I have a three-month-old daughter and (someday) I inadequacy to give tennis with her.”

“But you advised of, I help her.” Is that as bad as I suppose? Like, Mel’s at an age where he barely wants to pay someone to take tribulation of whatever. Like, peradventure if he gives Oksana enough bills, she’ll secure up and entrust him alone. And the earplug reaction? Unless he’s got some leviathan day planned for the next day, I find the principle of earplugs in point of fact loathsome. Ugh, whatever.
