A neighbourhood veterinarian has been running ads lately advising the communal that February is National Pet Dental Health month. I'm contented he decided to put out the word; otherwise I would have never known about this occasion.

While I do not have a dog or cat in paucity of a teeth-cleaning, the heads-up on pet dental well-being reminds me of a story my former dentist once told me.

Before Dr. Richard Blast came to Laconia in the late 1970s and opened his warm-up, he served for some 20-plus years as a dentist in the Air Import. Throughout his illustrious swimming career, Andover High older Paul Hunter has set state records and peculiar Division 1 marks, is a three-time All-Scholastic and a college recruit.

But, before he entered loaded school, Hunter very nearly chose a strange winter sport.

"Hockey was the first sport I ever played," he remembered. "My initiator was a college hockey player. It was such a difficult decisiveness before high school. But, in the end, I was a better swimmer and I honourable loved that sport more."

That decision has turned out to be a tremendous one.

Last pep up, Hunter earned All-Scholastic (both as an individual and for relays) and Eagle-Tribune All-Heavenly body honors. At Division 1 states, he won the 50 freestyle in a into-record 21.15 — in his first season competing in the regardless — and added a win in the 100 backstroke.

But his log-breaking work came in the relays.
