Another disc-shaped of Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants were announced on Wednesday, by the Minnesota Recorded Society.
The announcement includes the first 27 recipients of Mid-enormousness and Large Grants for fiscal year 2010.
An additional 56 organizations received $248,787 in Unshakably Track Grants, for a total of $1,711,287 awarded for projects of abiding value, according to the press release.
More than 50 communities throughout Minnesota will good from the grants.
Minnesota Historical and Cultural Tradition Grants are made possible by the Arts and Cultural Inheritance Fund with passage of the Clean Water, Nation and Legacy Amendment by the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008. The requite supports efforts to preserve Minnesota disembark, water and legacy, including our state’s adventures and cultural heritage.
“These grants provide new existence for important projects around the state – peculiarly this first round of Mid-size and Large Grants,” said Britta Bloomberg, spokeswoman state historic preservation officer. “From creating exhibits to publishing books and preserving prominent properties listed on the National Register of Memorable Places, we are excited about the impact these grants will have on the days of our state’s historic and cultural resources.”
