Christine Lott’s objective to help others already has brought her to East Africa and Sri Lanka. 

Now the Stoughton local wants to expand her efforts and bring hope to Haiti. 

Under the shield of her international relief fund, “Chris Cares,” Lott has formed the Haiti Reserve. One hundred percent of the money she raises through the store will be used to build a primary school in the earthquake-ravaged boondocks.

“We want to get to Haiti and help rebuild when the dust settles,” Lott said.

Lott and a arrange of volunteers will host its first fundraiser for the cause - an Italian dinner. – next Friday, Jan. 29.

 “The emergency is so great in Haiti – we thought we would reach out to our brothers and sisters there,” she said.

Guided by Christian values, Lott’s confederation has been working to achieve a variety of goals including facilitating long-term change in the neediest of developing countries. Chris Cares has funded the construction of a church in Tanzania, East Africa, and helped rebuild after the tsunami in Sri Lanka. It currently is working on erection a new elementary school - the School of St. Nicholas - in Tanzania.

The widow of Ralph Currier, who was stabbed to undoing by an intruder in the couples' Santa Rosa qualified in in 1980, received some satisfaction at a parole hearing at Governmental Prison Solano.
